(News Ninja) Automatic federal cuts are bringing staffers to the brink of starvation, suggested Debbie Wasserman Schultz, at a recent House Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee hearing. Restaurants on the House side of Congress are increasing in cost so much that aides are being “priced out” of a good meal, she said, as Fox News reported.
The comments came by way of a discussion about the impacts of the sequester on lawmakers’ office budgets. Rep. Jim Moran said he may be forced to lay off a staffer — and then Ms. Wasserman Schultz weighed in with her tale of hard times.
Actually, she makes over $175,000 a year…plus whatever she gets has head of the DNC. She needs to explain why she thinks the taxpayers should be subsidizing the meals she or her staff eat.
Her district is full of old leftists in Florida who actually buy all that nonsense about how the Republicans are going to take away their SS and medicare. And as Romney said, voters on the government dole will vote for the person who will give them the most freebies. Let’s face it, we are past that tipping point at which voters will vote for their own welfare payments etc and not for the good of the country.
It looks like the sequester has prevented her from buying shampoo, too. Heck, a bottle of Suave is only about $1.25. C’mon, Debbie. Wash that grease out of your hair. It’s starting to seep back into the roots and reach your brain and really clouding your judgment.
Once the Dems/Progs continue to spend this Nation into an abyss of debt they will only wish they had $2.00 to their name and meal consisting of anything edible. In just a few short months it will be unheard of for a meal to contain ham AND beans. These miserable Dem/Prog pr!cks won’t be happy until they completely destroy our Republic. On a side note: Remember when people use to laugh at us “preppers”? WE won’t feel the pain like those depending on the government to take care of them from womb to tomb.
Meanwhile, Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s staffers earn between $60,000 and $160,000 per year, Fox News reports.
