(American Thinker) Barack Obama must have forgotten what he said at the dedication of Rosa Parks‘ statue in the Capitol’s National Statuary Hall. Not only has he been throwing everyone, including his friends, under it, now he’s being accused by a black activist of telling blacks to sit in the back so that gays and lesbians can have the seat Rosa Parks warmed up in the front.
Right before the 2010 mid-term elections, when Barack Obama was given a veritable spanking at the ballot box, the ever racially-sensitive uniter, when speaking about Republicans, said:
Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out. Now that progress has been made we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.
That’s right – Barack Hussein Obama, champion of racial unity, just prior to an important election relegated the Republican Party to a location on the bus where Rosa Parks refused to sit.
Now, leftist radical, philosopher, educator, and prominent member of the Democrat Socialists of America Dr. Cornel West is addressing Obama‘s habit of banishing certain people to a section on the bus that’s filled with noxious fumes.
Cornel West is a brazenly outspoken man who in the past has called Barack “a Rockefeller Republican in Blackface” and accused MSNBC’s black hosts like Al Sharpton, Melissa Harris-Perry, and MSNBC guest host Michael Eric Dyson of selling their “souls for a mess of Obama pottage.”
Now, immediately following the Supreme Court’s DOMA decision, Dr. West again has some harsh words for America‘s first black socialist president concerning buses, black people, and seats in the farthest reaches of public transportation.
In response to Obama‘s orgasmic reaction to all the groundbreaking advances gays are making in America, West told radio host Tavis Smiley that gays and lesbians advancing means “we black folk are just being pushed to the back of the bus.”
In Cornel West‘s all-or-nothing world, there’s no room for straphangers.
In other words, Cornel West interprets the president’s activism concerning LGBT rights as a slight against black people in America. West told Smiley, who probably wasn’t all that smiley at the time:
Again this has something to do of course with what history books will say. The irony of the age of Obama in which black folks found themselves pushed to the back, [and] our gay brothers and lesbian sisters more and more pushed to the center.
What West didn’t elaborate on is whether the people “pushed to the center” also included black gays and lesbians. Nor did he expound upon the fact that there’s no room left at the back of the bus after all those selfish, racist Republicans took up all the seats.
Lest Mr. West forget, when speaking about Rosa Parks, Barack Obama did say that Ms. Parks, “In a single moment, with the simplest of gestures… helped change America — and change the world.”
Could it be that Mr. Obama is secretly taking Cornel West‘s advice and attempting to change America? After all, the prominent Democratic Socialist did once say that “You can’t move forward until you look back.” Using that logic, Obama moving blacks to the back could be a clever maneuver on the president’s part to ultimately move blacks forward.
Either way, Cornel West need not worry, because without a doubt, the gays currently occupying the seats in the front of the bus would likely be more than happy to share their new seating arrangement, but only so that blacks don’t have to remain in the back. And as long as the anti-gay-marriage blacks don’t realize who they’re sharing derriere space with on those front-of-the-bus seats, that may be a seating plan everyone, including Cornel West, can live with.
