Florida GOP representative: Obama impeachment should be 'on the table'

On Wednesday, Rep. Trey Radel (R-FL) said that “all options should be on the table” regarding impeachment proceedings againstBarack Obama.

In an interview with the Shark Tank, Radel said that Americans “have completely lost our checks and balances in this country, the Congress needs to hold the President accountable for the decisions that he’s making right now, and that why again, I would say that all options should be on the table.”

Javier Manjarres said that Radel posed a very “interesting” question to Democrats who remain loyal to Obama.

“What I would say to Democrats who are friends with President Obama right now is, ask yourself, what are you going to do when a Republican gets in, and you may not agree with or like very much, and begins doing the same thing?” he asked.

“Radel is the second first-term Republican this week to threaten the president with possible impeachment,” The Hill reported.

On Monday, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) threatened to file articles of impeachment if Obama issues executive orders instituting gun control measures.

“I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment,” he said in a statement.

The same day Stockman issued his threat, former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese told Newsmax that Obama could be impeached if he attempts to override the Second Amendment through executive orders.

On Wednesday, Obama signed 23 executive orders dealing with gun control while using children as props.

“If President Obama continues to rule by executive fiat and continues to ignore Congress, will additional Republicans express their support for impeachment proceedings against President Barack Obama?” Manjarres asked.
