Mohammad Hassan Asfari, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Majlis, Iran’s parliament, responded, Friday, to the apparent Israeli airstrike on Syrian targets by saying, “Syria has the right to avenge the Israeli step.” Two members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were killed when a military research center – believed to be used for producing biological and chemical weapons – was hit. Also hit was a convoy believed to be transporting weapons to Hizbullah terrorists in Lebanon.
Israel has maintained silence on the attacks. Rebels trying to depose Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad said, Thursday, that they carried out the attacks.
